Alright guys and gals, the weather is warming up and we are inching ever closer to big game season and turkey season is either underway or just around the corner for many. Time to start the cold shot challenge up again. Take a shot at any distance and let us know how that first \'cold\' shot goes. Any weapon counts, any distance counts. Pics are always welcome as well :upthumb:

Thanks for making this thread Derek

I was thinking about doing the same when I shot 3 cold shots last week

40 - 50 - 60 yds

This was my cold shot yesterday at 40 yards with a broadhead. I don\'t mind that it\'s a little high as I made a minor adjustment to my rest the other day. Gotta get some more shooting in this week so I can readjust my sight.

Mine\'s from last fall since I don\'t get to shoot much right now....

Cold shot from my 50 cal T/C muzzle loader at 145 yards to feeder according to my grandson\'s range finder...

Sorry it wasn\'t a target... But behind the ear worked pretty good... :upthumb: :upthumb:

Bumping this up as the season is getting closer. Here\'s my cold shot at 30 yards today. It\'s okay, but definitely need to be shooting more.

I was actually going to post and ask if anybody wanted to do it this year. I was going suggest tweaking it a little. Be fun to see hunt ready rigs...Broadheads with quivers and arrows attached. Maybe even unknown range...guesstimates

We can certainly do any and all of that! Up to you guys and gals, but feel free to post pictures of your rigs as well. I might have to start trying the unknown range idea too...

Here you go...one shot. 19 yards in the basement...hard to not know the distance in my basement! Haha

Hunting rig set up with quiver and arrows and a Magnus Buzzcuts on the front.

Dang I\'m still waiting for the archery shop to call and say my bow is done so I can get sighted in again.

I like the idea of hunt ready but I don\'t ever shoot with my quiver on.

Do you hunt with the quiver on? I Always struggled shooting with the quiver on but since I bought a Tightspot I don\'t bother ever taking it off. Best archery related equipment I\'ve bought in a long time.

My Tightspot stays on as well...always!

First arrow tonight @ 60 yards...lucky lob !

No I take mine off while hunting. It\'s probably the WT hunter in me. I take it off and hang it up while in a tree stand. I use a fuse quiver that slips off and on quickly . I have tried shooting with one on and don\'t like the feel of the shot with it on.

I remove mine while in a tree stand too. But while elk hunting I usually have it on. I do practice with it on.

I always took mine off until I bought a Tightspot. Now I shoot with it on and it I\'ve gotten used to it. I can adjust it to make my bow balance out pretty decent unlike some of the other quivers. I must say I always deer hunted and bought the cheapest quiver I could get because it came off and slipped in my pack once I got in my stand.

It\'s not 72 yards, but I did throw my target out at a random distance tonight and took a shot with the quiver on. I guessed 25, it was actually 28. I\'ll take it and start trying to add distance to it.
