Colorado OTC 3rd rifle season

Planning a trip to hunt the 3rd rifle season never been elk hunting in Colorado and nee help figuring out what GMU to hunt and a good place to set up our camp

Start studying the OTC units available on the division of wildlife website. Then spend a lot of time looking on Google Earth. I don't think anyone will tell you where to go and where to set up. You have to want it and put in the hard work.

I quit hunting third rifle season in Colorado years ago due to the extreme numbers of hunters. You will be looking for tight groups hiding out from all the pressure or if there is a lot of snow then you will be looking for them migrating.
