Concealed carry in CO?

You must have a permit to carry concealed.
No permit needed to \'open carry\'

For concealed carry, you must also have a permit to carry on your person. Permits from many other states are accepted. However, you need to do a search to determine which states are acceptable and which ones are not. The exception would be when hunting you can have a hand gun in your pack. But for the life of me I don\'t understand why anyone would want a gun somewhere that they couldn\'t get to it.

Open carry is legal in most of Colorado. But don\'t try in in Denver or the Republic of Boulder. I think Colorado Springs as well.

here is a map listing the blue states that honor a Colorado CC permit. I see Pa. is one of them. So I would assume Colorado would honor a Pa. permit. But still, it would be a good idea to check it out just to be sure.

Also, I\'m a computer dummy. So hopefully the link I posted will work. No guarantees.

Looks like I\'m OK with concealed carry. I have a pouch that attaches to the hip belt of my pack.

Im pretty sure in CO you can conceal carry without a permit if you are involved in \"hunting activities\" I will try to track down that regulation.

Yep...Just got off the horn with CPW Headquarters... You don\'t need a permit to carry concealed WHILE YOU ARE HUNTING in Colorado. Keep calm and CARRY on!

So how many of you carry while elk hunting? If so why. I have a permit and almost always carry but there is a lot of drug activity near my farm. I\'ve actually found this under one of my stands on the corner of my farm. About 12 rocks of heroin and 6 rocks of meth (at least thats what the deputy told me) with a bunch of syringes. It was right underneath one of my stands.

I pretty much carry anytime I am in the woods...Two-legged predators have spooked me more in the woods than any of the four-legged ones in CO. Weirdos go to the places they think no one will be to do things no one should do.

More and more I think that too. In addition to the drugs, had a camera stolen on my farm and last month a farmer was killed by a deputy about a mile south of my farm. It happened at 2 in the morning and allegedly mistaken identity but bottom line is there is a lot of meth heads that are always looking to break in something, steal copper wire or who knows what. I actually sneak up on my truck when walking out after dark, I figure it\'s a matter of time before I run into one of them. It\'s such a shame! I grew up on that farm and would have never thought in such a rural area things could have turned out that way. Any chance I\'ll run into areas like that in Colorado? If so I\'ll be carrying.

It\'s not as bad in CO as that. That sounds terrible. I have only had the heebie jeebies when these guys from Texas came to our camp that was approx. 4 miles from any trail or road, really weirded us out and proceeded to pepper us with ?\'s about if anybody else was with us or meeting us, how long we told people we would be back there and how many vehicles we had brought... needless to say we moved camp a couple miles after they left. I have never had a problem in CO but I am the kinda guy that would much rather have it and not need it...
