Was out checking game cams today and stumbled on this.

I\'m guessing a cat. I found it in the bottom of a drainage. Have found two bucks like that in this area as well. It\'s like they drag them there, down out of the way. Just a guess though.

What is the rule on keeping those? I found a full spike skeleton during season last fall but I sure as hell wasn\'t going to go marching out with it\'s head on my pack during the season (4 pt unit and I don\'t know the rules).

I have it GPS\'d and would like to go back for it if it\'s legal to take.

Not to be gross but was the brain still intact? I am curious how to get that out if I ever do my own euro mount.

It wasn\'t Tom, most of the skull had decayed away or been eaten by rodents. There was just a little skin still attached and some of the flesh underneath that needed to be cleaned off. That\'s the only reason I did it on my own though. In my opinion, the time and energy spent to make a euro on your own after punching your tag is not worth just paying for it to be done by a professional. For example, my bull from this year was brought in with the hide still on and I\'ll get it back in the next week for $195. Not too bad in my opinion. Better than trying to fish brain out of there with a metal coat hanger!

I found this method on YouTube. Looks easy enough. It might be worth a try if you want to do your own European mount sometime.
