Received my 2 Contender Elk calls yesterday, I've beenusing the Elk 101 All-star call the passed couple years, there is a slight difference of the feel in the mouth but its comfortable, trying it out now for Elk season. This will be my go to call this year.

So far so good. Like the call a lot. I only have 3 different diaphragms so not much to compare to for now.

Having a little trouble with the new diaphragm, keep switching between the new one and the Mistress. Love the mistress, still getting used to the new one, learning curve. Feels a little larger than medium. Good notes though, easier to hit the high pitches.

I received my contender diaphragm calls and I've been practicing with them the last week getting ready for the opening of Montana archery season.  They sound great, but the real test will be in the field.

Very easy to make all of the realistic sounds that a diaphragm call should make.
