Daughter's First Big Game Harvest

Over the years, I have been putting in Pref Points for my daughter. With her busy college schedule, I told her I would take her on a hunt when she got her Bachelors' degree.

She was on schedule to finish this summer, I put her in for a unit Eastern Colorado that took 5 PPs and she drew a tag.We went out opening morning - last Saturday - and she didnt waste any time, 30 mins after sunup!

200yd shot with her .243

I'll never forget what she said later that morning... "Dad, I want to do that again!"

She was so happy!

After the required photo session, it was time to teach her how to field dress her animal

Back at home later, we skinned and cooled the animal down.

I cant tell you how much enjoyment my kids and I have had over the years hunting & fishing.


For those that have young kids, get them outside! Teach 'em!
