I made some elk spaghetti last night for supper.
Since I had plenty of leftovers, I decided to try making my own \'Mtn House\' meals

I also sliced up a couple bananas to see how that worked

After about 8-9 hrs the spaghetti was done

The bananas didnt work out... :(
I made some appropriate sized bags with my vacuum sealer and packaged them up

Im hoping it tastes the same as the meal that created the leftovers!

The biggest thing is to determine how much water to add :)

We do lots of bananas and apples. The always turn out great. For almost everything we do, we just turn the dehydrator about 9 PM and let it run until we get up the next morning.

I have tried canned vegetable beef soup. When rehydrated, it taste just like it did fresh from the can except for the beef chunks. They were a little hard. Maybe I should have given it a little more soaking time! Homemade elk chille is good as are any of the pasta dishes.

For desert nothing beats various fruit leathers or even better, dehydrated rockyroads icecream. Oh my!!!! :upthumb:
