I thought Brad would like this. I\'ve been using this for years. I have about $30 into my DIY Arrow Saw. It is a mini chop saw from Harbor Freight and it is all substance and zero style. It does fine cutting arrows but I dont really do that well cleaning my man cave. Lol

Here are a few pics. I hope this gives you an idea of what I did. I bought the saw and took it apart and relocated the switch. I planned to get some angle and other hardware and make a nice setup.

I needed to cut a few arrows so I had some spare 2x4s an a few other things laying around. I made these blocks just to use temporarily. I squared them to each other and measured the distance I needed for finished arrows. I screwed them down and cut my shafts. That was about 5-6 years ago. Lol. It worked so well I never did anything else. I have numerous sets of holes in my bench. I just move the nock end block whenever I want to adjust length. If I have a set of holes there, great....If not I just screw it in and create some new holes.

I have a hole drilled in the nock end side with an insert glued in there backwards so I have a flat surface to push my nock against for making the cut.

If you cut a few dozen arrows a year this setup works fine. If you cut many more you would probably be better served to spend a few bucks and get a real saw. It takes a while to adjust length and you will need a good arrow squaring device to square up your cuts as this setup doesn\'t cut cut the shafts as perfect as a dedicated saw but it works awesome for a guy cutting arrows for himself or a buddy.
