Do you "call" for deer? Specifically Mulies?

My son will be hunting deer this weekend and next weekend and asked me if we are goign to do any \"calling\". I noticed some Doe-in-heat cans at Cabelas this weekend, I have some antlers to clack around but I\'d probably be wasting my time.

I\'m guessing with mulies I am better off getting lucky rather than actually hunting them. :?

NO I don\'t call for mulies and This time of year I don\'t think any doe in heat is gonna help you the only thing I have had success with is fawn in distress/. calling for coyotes really but the deer came in mostly does but later in the season (rut) bucks will follow does. This time of year if you are targeting deer spot and stalk hunting is probably the most successful.
