Do you shoot? Where?

You\'re sitting up 20 feet in a tree over your favorite water hole.


It\'s 30 minutes left of shooting light and this small guy comes in.



Are you shooting or passing?
If you are shooting, where are you aiming?

I would pass at this time and hopefully he will turn broadside and give me a better shot.

I am with FM on this. I don\'t like neck shots and there is no clear path into the boiler room. Neck shots can be lethal, but they can lead to problems as much of the neck is flesh and hide only. Besides it is after dark.

I would not take any shot that was not intended on my arrow getting lungs or heart.

The picture doesn\'t match the question or the situation! You bet I\'m shooting. I\'m 20 feet up a tree, and this small guy, as you call him, comes in. He doesn\'t have a clue I\'m anywhere around. He is munching on some grass and likely came there for a drink of water. He is going to move around. And when he does, he is toast.

If he didn\'t give me a better shot I guess I\'d be waving bye bye to him... :wave: :wave:

Since I\'m a newb when it come to tree stand hunting, I\'d wait until I have a broad side shot.
