Do you wear camo when you scout?

Wondering if people wear camo when they are out scouting or hanging trail cams?

I\'m not scouting in elk country but around here with all the deer ticks I wear light colored jeans and shirt.

I don\'t always wear camo when I hunt... So, no I don\'t make an extra effort to wear camo when scouting. My personal and professional opinion are that camo isn\'t the most important part of concealment.

I wear my merino in the woods. Comfortable and keeps me cool. I also like to be able to \"hide\" when people are around. If you have camo on and don\'t move they look right past you.

I started wearing gaiters last year and wear them all the time now. Love them. Laces never get untied, socks and shoes stay clean and if I get into a swampy area I\'m good!

My only scouting is for WTs around here so yes. If season is in I am packing my bow and you never know. I also do not like other hunters to see me as I\'m almost always hunting public land.

I might, but it just depends. If I am wearing pants, then I\'m probably wearing some camo hunting pants for sure. Tee shirt, you never know. Sometimes camo, sometimes another brown/tan/green, etc.

In the past 12 months I\'ve killed my elk, barbary sheep, and 3 turkeys in shorts!
It\'s the way to go!

I\'m right there with you. I\'m chicken legs..... BUT ILL RUN LIKE THE WIND AND CLIMB LIKE A GOAT.

Yeah, I\'ll parade around in shorts in the summer. I\'d rather beat my legs up a bit than be covered in sweat.

Nope, not usually. It\'s good practice to see how well I can \"hide\" from people (or animals) by spotting or hearing them first, finding cover, and remaining totally still instead of relying on camo to blend in.

The only time I would wear camo scouting is if I have been hunting and went scouting after the hunt.

Mostly, no. However...Before September, I try out all new gear & clothing at least once. In addition, I sample all new food.

No, but I only scout for whitetails as well. I usually wear a certain pair of blue jeans that have been thoroughly sprayed with Sawyer Permethrin for ticks. Funny about the legs, I was teased at an outpost bear hunt several years ago about my snow white legs, cause I never, ever wear shorts.
