To compliment my other thread, here\'s another pre-season reminder.

I\'ll start. Don\'t forget ......... A change of underwear!

- YOUR WALLET!
I was driving to Oklahoma last year to deer hunt, made it about 2 hours into the trip and realized I forgot my wallet.... :x

Your weapon. I\'ve done it twice. Once I left it at home and realized when I got to camp three hours later. A other time I rode over a mountain on an ATV without it.. Duh...

Release. I have 2. One is in my daypack. The other is attached to my bow. For finger shooters, it would be their finger tab.

Your boots. Once I drove two hours to my uncles farm to deer hunt and found out that I left them at home. Not fun hunting in the cold wearing tennis shoes.

Trim your toenails NOW!
That way they will grow a little before your hunt

A PILLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think we have all been there once or twice and a pillow makes or breaks a trip..

I hate sunscreen. It is slimy and stinks, but ... Anyway I need to pack the stuff and use it.

LICENSE(s) - tags. I put mine in my field dressing kit along with a pen to sign after a success.

For CO, License needs to be signed on 2nd to last \"page\". For my first year, the license came in the mail and I did not know this. In person purchases, they have you sign it in when purchased.

For CO, the hunter must carry their ID with their license. You do not need to carry your Hunter Ed card if the License has a V at the end of the \"Hunter Deduction Certificate\" line. V indicates Verified.

Lastly, don\'t forget to tell your family you love them and make sure you give them a good long hug.

...to let someone know where you are going. I learned it in Hunter\'s Ed class and have a template I fill out and give to my wife and to my folks. I imagine in a panic trying to remember the model, make, color, license number, location, etc. they would be in a panic. If something ever happened and they needed to contact me or if I came up missing I\'ll be glad I left them some information.

Don\'t forget your tent... I grabbed the \"tent\" on our scouting trip and realized at the campsite that I actually grabbed a beach shade. If I had done this for a long weekend of hunting I\'d have been in trouble.
