Down time in the turkey blind?

run and gun, call aggressively, otherwise, read a book, play games, call every once in awhile.

I\'m not like most folks so don\'t listen to me but I hate it when I get a text since it takes my eyes away from what I\'m looking for... Can\'t hear so I got to see them before they see me... The only down time I have is those short moments in time when I drift off to a time before when I was watching one spot only to turn my hear a bit and there in another spot stands exactly what I was looking for...

Of course a short nap here and there occurs with greater regularity now than it use to...

high alert. but i have a book and i text people.

turkey hunting is 99% boring and 1% mind blowing, adrenaline dumping excitement.

Text a little and check in here to see what\'s happening. I try to rest once in awhile but I am always checking if anything is moving so I don\'t get much rest and I like to give a few calls every 15 minutes or so.

For some reason I\'ve never looked at the time spent in a blind as \"down time\" . :D Actually I don\'t spend much time in a blind without hearing or seeing a bird! I don\'t usually set a blind up unless I see or hear one. I hunt small woodlots and creek bottoms spread out over 30 miles.
