E. Oregon Elk

Hi, I am new to this forum. I was thinking of trying with bow for E. Oregon.  I live in W. Idaho. I was just wondering if there is any tips to know, or where to look for information. Or where not to go, I do NOT want to know your spot, just some direction. Thank you.

I'm a newb for sure but I'd suggest starting with the ODFW site and look at the Harvest statistics as well as the Oregon tags site. Planning my hunts this coming year I'm using both of those to see where I have the potential for a successful draw with good harvest rate. Reading the tea leaves somewhat but some data is better than none.

Hey, thanks for the ODFW site, the tag site I must have missed some where ? I looked at the interactive maps on the site. May have to order some.Any way Thanks have a good one.

You bet. Here are some direct links. The tag site isn't by odfw but by a very nice man that runs the numbers yearly and shares them publicly.
