Early Season Bow Hunt Colorado

New to this site but have found it very informative.  I wanted any advice or concerns, we are planning to hunt unit 25 26 first week of elk archery this year.  Was anyone out that way last year and how was or was there any bugling yet?  Also how about other hunters?  I have been out there a few years ago for rifle and have been wanting to get back ever since.  Just wondering if anybody had anything they would of done different or wish they had?  Thanks in advance!

I have never hunted those Units. Where we hunt our hunt goes from the 3rd weekend in August to the first week in September. The last week of August and the first week of August we get the bulls to bugle. Its not like the middle of the rut but we have called them in. Hope this helps a little

Thanks carp for the info I am not sure what to anticipate as this is our first elk bow hunt. So anything that may help us is appreciated.
