Eberlestock Destroyer V69 vs Blue Widow JP9

I am going on my first DIY Archery Elk Hunt this September, 7 days, with 3 other guys. We are driving then hiking several miles to a base camp, from where we will leave and hunt each day from. I want to invest in a great pack and have been looking into Eberlestock. This is not going to be my day pack, just my main pack. I like the Blue Widow but some reviews I read many people use this as a main and day pack, being that it starts near 2000 cubic in, and expands to 4200 at most. I also am looking at the Destroyer V69, which is larger capacity and more traditional sized/shaped pack. The destroyer also expands up, rather than out. Does anyone have any experience with either of these packs or any other similar packs near the 300 or less price range? Any feedback is very helpful.

I have the blue widow, been using it for about 3 years now. Great pack and very comfortable. One draw back is pockets and the ease of access to get to gear.

I have the blue widow, love it. I have to agree that I wish they had more pockets to seperate gear. Haven't been able to pack meat with it yet, but hopefully soon. Love the build of the eberlestock!

I too have the blue widow. I love it. With the spike duffel you can get huge cubic inch numbers. I personally fit all my gear in the main pack for a 7 day hunt. I will bring the spike duffel so if I get one down I throw my gear in the duffel and meat in the main pack and I'm good to go. This winter my buddy shot a cow and I put a shoulder and hind quarter in it. This pack can withstand a load.

I too have this pack with the spike duffel and the butt bucket for my bow! With the spike duffel I can fit enough gear for 10 days possibly more if need be. I can pack animals out in comfort. I can shoot comfortably with my entire loaded pack on but I can also take the lid off which turns into a fanny pack if I find somewhere that I want to set up at for a couple of days if I am really into elk and not haul my whole pack.
