South Of Fairplay - GMUs 49/50

Yeah, you can drive down 285 this time of year and see elk all over the place just outside of Fairplay, both north and south. They just hang out and watch vehicles drive by.

Nice (small bunch of elk)! There are over 2000 head just north of town now and many have already crossed the hiway headed to the wintering area.

I saw a BIG bull on he south side of 70 in silverthorn. Always funny to see them out in the open.
