Elk hunt - my last rodeo?

I have booked an elk hunt with an outfitter (one that doesn\'t involve horses) as the most efficient way for me to go. I turn 68 this year and who knows how many more years the Lord will give me. Anyway, going to CO GMU 70 to hunt a private ranch 1st rifle. Costly? Sure, but who knows how many more x-country trips I\'ll make! Thinking of using my Ruger #1 in 7 mm Mag.

Ya never know when the rodeo will end... Take it from me since it ended for me for elk in 2006 and I was a lot younger than you at the time...

I\'m hoping I\'ll get to deer and duck hunt next season but time only will tell....

I choose them through Premier Hunting Adventures. They offer a lot of elk hunts out west (CO, WY, NM). A ranch, Rocking R, in unit 70 had a cancellation in 1st rifle so I took it. The only criteria was I wanted 1st rifle, and no horses. I will keep you all updated as I receive further info. I will be driving out from PA and hopefully hauling an elk home!

There were a couple of threads about the \"Rocking R\" on the Bowsite Forum. Both were very positive.

I\'m turning 65 this July and sure hope to have a few more rodeos in me??><
