Elk NM unit 51 Dec hunt

Anyone hunted this unit and time? Drew MZ dec hunt. Never been there. Also looking for RV parking.

Carson national forest (unit 51) has lots of areas that will suite you in a RV!
It\'s one of those great areas where you can drive up, pull off the road and set up camp.


Did you draw a bull tag? Cow?

Drew either sex tag. Plan on hunting for that bull but will take cow last day. Have maps and goggle to help my scouting. Do plan on July camping in area also. Now to get the old body in shape before this fall. 5 lbs heavy right now. Do have CO elk hunt in Oct. so should be ready for this one. Been 4 yr since I have hunted NM. Love that state.
