Elk outfitters

I am looking for some info on some recommended elk outfitters. I am surprising my dad for his Bday with a guided elk hunt in CO. We are experienced in hunting whitetail in NC but this is obviously a diff animal and diff terrain so I am hoping you guys could be kind enough to steer me in the right direction. Im looking to spend at most $5000 per person and it would be for the rifle season. I would LOVE to learn this region on my own because half the fun is the work to get your game but this is for my dad so any help is appreciated. Thanks

I can't be much help with a Guide, I am a DIY guy.
But make sure to check his references people who got Elk and didn't too.
good guides usually fill up fast, so you will need to find one soon.
If you check the Colorado parks & wildlife web site they may have a list of guides ?.

Winterhawk Outfitters, they located in the White River National Forest so it an OCT. They may be filled up already for the year but could help direct you in the right location.
