Ethical question - cow, calf, neither?

I only hunt Bulls or bucks. Mainly for the same reason. I shot a whitetail doe many years ago and the prior year yearling just stayed around the area bleeting. Broke my heart to hear the pain of separation in that yearlings sound. Since then I only hunt bucks or Bulls.
