Took the pooch out for a walk this afternoon. About 35 yards away, I saw a Whitetail doe come up from the river bottom, right behind her was a tiny fawn, could not have been more than a couple of days old. WAY COOL!!!
Luck was with us as my American Water Spaniel was going for a swim at the time. She does not chase deer, however, I\'m not so sure of what she\'d do if she saw the little one.

That is awesome!!!! Hopefully it survives and you get a chance to meet again in a few years :upthumb:

My little Jack Russel chased a fawn last year the poor little thing was running through some tall grass. I called for my dog and he didn\'t come. I chased down the dog and carried him half way home. I let him down and he was following me till he picked up another scent trail of another fawn. He was off again after another fawn. He chased that one down toward the creek. After running the dog and fawn down I carried the dog 1/2 mile back to the house. He never has bothered the fawns but if they run he likes to chase them.

I have had to stop the tractor and move a fawn by shooing him away. I would have mowed over him if I had not seen him at the last minute.
