Field Tips

I just purchased some 125 grain field tips. When I put them on my arrows the tips were wider than the shaft. Will this make very much difference in the flight of the arrow or when I switch to my broadheads for hunting? I was shooting 100 grains  tips last year that were the same diameter as my arrows and decided I wanted to shoot 125 grains this year. I found a steal of a deal on field points and when I got home they were the wrong diameter! Any information would be much appreciated.

The wider field points could make pulling your arrows out of some targets a pain.  I would not expect them to fly much different, though.
