First Deer Blood 2016

Thanks guys! I will be workin on it hard come Saturday morning! Anyone know what time first light breaks in NW Colorado? I\'m gonna have to get in early to catch them coming off the alfalfa. Plus someone put a pop-up blind close to the line on the neighboring ranch. I don\'t see any way he can get in it in the morning without bumping all the deer off the field. I could be covered up in deer first thing. Ill post some updates when I have service. I fly into Denver tomorrow around noon.

Thanks, any idea when nautical twilight occurs? I am making the assumption it will be around 0545. Trying to gauge how early I need to start my 1 mile hike in to be set well before first light.

I wonder how they can enforce and you be ready for legal shooting times down to the second, Brad... :ugeek: :ugeek:

Undoubtedly shooting time for duck season here is harder to enforce since some folks like to start a lot earlier than the legal time... :downthumb: :downthumb:

Thanks, looks like NT is 0532. I will probably start in by 0500. Should be good with blood on the ground by 0700!! :clap:

I\'m having a hard time keeping up with everything these days...
 
Yep, Jeff pulled it out first! My hunt was a bust. The alfalfa on the ranch I was hunting was brown this year. Appears most of the deer had migrated over to another ranch where it was irrigated. They were pretty much skirting the water source I was hunting in the daylight as well. Had a young 6x5 at 40yds but did not stick an arrow in it. That thing will be a super stud if he makes it. Very few deer around in my unit this time. Unfortunately I can only draw every two years. SO, I am concentrating on my elk hunt end of next week. I will have a whitetail on the ground come November though!

Thanks brother! I\'m busting at the seams to get out there next week. Gonna be a long drive, but worth it!
