First rifle vs. archery

The last six years i have only hunted first rifle season. But this year i have the old man talked into the archery season as i have always done better bow hunting then rifle hunting. So my question is how does your hunting style change when going from rifle to bow. I am a stand hunter....dad is a stalker. We hunt well together by setting up two stands aways apart and when he gets tired of setting he hunts his way to me. This has been how we\'ve done things for 25 years or more but thinking we might need a different approach to this year. Maybe we will leave the stands at home this year......ugh not sure i can do that...lol

I have shot elk from my tree stand during the first rifle season and archery season.
I have shot elk by calling them in during the first rifle and archery...

All I can tell you is that Im not leaving my tree stands at home for archery season... and Im not limiting myself to just tree stand hunting...

Cnelk i think your right about not limiting yourself. If i am still job hunting by september i think i will have a longer elk season this year. My dad can be gone september 9-25 so i think i will hang stands an place trail cams just like always....but not limit my self to just setting.....unless its hot hot hot then i will set over water an wait in the shade.....lol
