Fishing anyone?

I like to fish. I wish I could find more time to do it. With the floods in the midwest it isn\'t worth wasting time on trying unless you go to a pond or lake. The rivers are high and dirty. I like to catch Bluegill and White Bass on ultralight gear. I also like to catch Catfish. Reeling in a 30-40 lb cat is a fight and the eating is good.

Walleye and musky are my top fish....i need to move to minn. I also like perch and crappie as they taste good.

NOT a fisherman, but I\'m going to the Wind Rivers for a week starting on Saturday ... apparently it should be easy there. Sure hope so!

I have fly fished in Colorado, WY and Montana since I was a little kid. Prefer trout but have been known to fly fish for carp...aka, Rocky Mountain Bonefish.

Yup, fly fishing for trout has become my favorite as of the past few years. I used to be huge into bass fishing but something about fly fishing a river is just good for the soul. Here are a few pics from various trips to Cheesman Canyon and our recent backpacking trip to the Crested Butte area. Got my girlfriend in a nice little outlet in a high mountain lake that just had trout STACKED all along it, almost didn\'t seem fair

I like all kinds of fishing. My favorite is trolling for walleye and fishing for yellow perch through the ice.

I LOVE Cheesman Canyon.

I had caught this fish twice before on different trips. My brother came out from CA and I took him to this spot on our way out and told him that if he did everything right he\'d catch it too. It has a damaged gill plate on the other side. He couldn\'t believe it when he finally put his fly in the right spot and he hooked up...sure enough, same fish!

Bass fishing. With a fully outfitted bass boat. There is not much more in life that calms the soul than ripping across a big flat lake right before the sun starts to come up. Black water, purple sky, 200 hp of two stroke fury pushing you along. Gah. I love it.

Only spearfishing nowadays, gave up on pole and hook many years ago. Nothing like finding a tree 20\' deep and doing some underwater stand hunting. Crappie and walleye are the bomb. Hope new job works out and get more time to go after elk trip.

Awesome! Yeah its a beautiful area down there. Was just down fishing deckers last week with my grandfather, trying to enjoy those trips while we still can ya know.

My post disappeared. Anyway, fly fishing is another passion of mine almost as strong as elk hunting. Even though i\'ve caught large trout at So Platte, Frying Pan, and Taylor. I enjoy the high mountain creeks much better. Just like in my elk hunting. I like the solitude of creek fishing. I often combine elk scouting with fly fishing mountain creeks. Hard to beat a day like that. No need to bring lunch. Brookies cooked next to the creek makes a great lunch.

I agree Stillwater. I\'d say about 80-90% of my fly fishing is in tiny mountain creeks. I too try and combine elk scouting with fly fishing any chance I get.

I get into any kind of fishing, but nothing, in my book compares to walleye or crappie or perch on the dinner table. Any kind of fishing is better than the best day at work tho...
