M son and I shot yesterday. He is good out to 20 yards......but is still working hard. My new Struthers SHO is an awesome bow. I\'m grouping a 2 inch circle out to 50 yard.

This is the first bow that I used a Rip Cord instead of a Whisker Biscuit. So my question is Cock Vein down or out?

John
What are you using for fletching?
Blazers are higher than vanes and sometimes the cock feather needs to be turned just a bit.
Myself I use all white and turn a fletch so it\'s in the corner of my mouth at full draw as my anchor point

As long as you are not getting contact with the rest, you should be able to put the cock feather anywhere you want it. The whole idea of a drop away rest is to eliminate fletching contact. I shoot mine just like they come out of my Bitzenberger with the cock out. That way if I do happen do damage a fletch there is no realignment problem.

Yup like said above with a drop away you should have not fletching contact so it wont matter. I run a trophytaker with cock fletch up.

I have a Rip Cord too and shoot it with the cock vane up. I have no clearance problems, so why change?

Just got my Code Red dialed in this past weekend, I can shoot either vein up or down and get no contact but I still prefer my vein up.

Glad you got your Code Red set up and shooting well. Did the video I posted help you any with the setup?

Yes and no. It did not come with the football so I had to serve it in. That required a new string being placed into the rest...not as easy winding that torsion spring as it seemed. But, with some perseverance I got it...I th i nk. I will paper tune this week to look for tears and foot powder some fletching to verify no contact...but, it\'s shooting really well so far.
