Imagine that you are tucked into a ground blind and this shot is presented.
Lets say 13 yards for the purpose of this question.

Is this elk picture suitable for the frontal shot or is the elk quartering to a little too much?

I think you could kill her but if she steps while the arrow is being released it could be an issue. If I\'m hidden and she\'s calm I\'m waiting. Either she faces me for an easy frontal or keeps moving for a better broadside.

Thats not what I consider a \'frontal\' but a hard quarter toward you.

Still a makeable shot but risky

Quartering too much. But there are a bunch of arteries you could tear up with a good shirt pocket shot. Only problem is, she is moving. You\'d have to wait until she stops.

If that is an antelope I shoot....that\'s about it. I am waiting for a better shot on an elk.

At 13 yards I think you can easily do some damage but I think a better shot is coming!

agreed. if you\'re already at full draw, you\'re about to have a ~10 yard broadside shot. shoot THEN. :)
