Ford F-150 diesel!

Ford has a horrible track record with Diesel engines since they stopped making the 7.3. Each brand has its own issues and not knocking on ford but I would wait 3-4years before buying one of these. There will be issues and If I were you I would let them work all these out before I spent 50grand on a pickup truck.

Wow. Mr downer in the very first response. Gotta be a record.

:)

My money was on the guy saying the cost upgrade for the diesel doesn?t make  up for the fuel savings.

Just friendly truck chatter that?s all. My tacoma has freaky stamina. .

Being a F-150 guy, I am intrigued with a diesel option and might consider it if I hauled more heavy stuff or pulled a trailer.

My 2004 F-150 has 228K miles on it and running good so will just keep until something really expensive breaks!

Heard good things about Nissan trucks but Ford will be my first choice when/if I start looking but won't rule anything out.

Dad's construction company had several F-250 with the Power Stroke diesel and they performed incredibly well especially given the abuse of ironworkers!

I'm rolling in a 2001 Ranger, it's a lot like driving a bigger version of a UTV! The little V6 has 170k and still more than enough power. Fun little truck, have no interest in the new ranger that is coming out.

When my oldest inherits this rig I'm thinking of trying a Tacoma.

if i HAD to pick a truck today, i would test drive the new tacoma and the Ecoboost F150.  worlds apart in trucks, but are the two that interest me.

some one told me that there are two diesel TOYOTA trucks at testing with the EPA.  tacoma and tundra!!
