Any body use a Go Pro during there elk hunt? I was thinking of using one this weekend on my hunt. Looking for any tips on settings on the Go Pro and any other tips you might have. I was planning on using the head mount on this hunt.

I use a more narrow frame than a wide one for settings.
Another thing is, if the animal is probably 30 yards or out, don\'t even bother pressing record. The elk will look like a flee and you won\'t even be able to see the shot!!!!

They are cool for up close and personal shots, but once it gets out too far you just can\'t see anything.

I second what Dan said UNLESS you have one of the new models which has a zoom I believe. Never used one of the latest ones. Also, be sure to practice with it on - seems like you might have to set it a little off center to align with your bow.

Take it out to the range with you next time and see what it records like at 20, 30, 40 yards. If you didn\'t already know, get the Class 10 SD card for videos.

i\'ve seen some vids with the camera turned around facing the shooter.

it is amazing how the camera catches the excitement of the moment all thru the various facial expressions.
