Goals

My first goal of the year is to start getting into better shape after the holidays!
Then start shooting more in the summer and as well as start practicing my calling.
Third also start going on hikes with my family.
Late summer, go on camping trip with family where we hike and I can scout any new areas we might try during hunting season.
Last thing it to make sure everything is ready including making sure my bow is in perfect shape and perfectly tuned for my broadheads.

Then September is here :)

+1, Pretty much this exactly. In addition, to family camping/scouting trips, I need to put in a decent amount of solo scouting and shed hunting.

my main goal is stay in shape,
get the best equipment I can afford
its to far for scouting so I just go over maps on were I shot Elk and look for other place that look good.

Short term this hunting season I am drawing a powers bull tag for rifle, I would loev to fill my tag on a big bull, I never have passed up an elk but this would be a good tag to do that on.

Long term I want to kill a 400' bull and hunt all over the would, but thats moslty everybody I think ;)

Short and long terms are the same. To get stronger and shoot better than ever before.
This year I had a successful Havelina hunt, and I should get drawn for AZ Pronghorn and if extra lucky AZ Elk. I will also go on a 10 day CO elk hunt plus my home state Utah Elk hunt and if able Utah deer. Plus have also been invited to go on an Idaho bear hunt in October if I can squeeze it.  I have a very busy year ahead and would hate to not have enough gas left in the tank to go b@lls to the wall all the way to the end.

What are your goals, this time of year, both short term and long term, when it comes to elk season?
Goals to be consistent, get a elk ever year I draw.
Short term --> This year to stay fit, improve cardio and smaller shot groups.
Long term --> To get two bulls in one hunting season.
