Great Phone Call

Got a awesome call from Arizona Game and Fish last week and was offered a 6a Early Archery Bull tag due to somebody turning their's back in. I guess I was next in line. There are a TON of tags on this hunt but the unit is almost 1300 sq miles. Hoping to get out there for a weekend in August to pre scout but not sure if it is worth it since I can only hunt the last 7 days of the season. Thinking the elk will be pushed around quite a bit that first week. I'm looking for a starting point for a place to set up a spike camp away from roads and away from people. Anybody got any advice? Thanks

I haven't ever been fortunate to hunt Arizona for elk, but hopefully someone who has will chime in. Anxious to hear how it goes for you!
