Head lamp lumens

For those which use a head lamp in the field, how many Lumen\'s does it put out, and how far does the light cast?

Guess it all depends on what you are using it for. But just for walking in or out after dark and general camp chores, I like the little Cabelas 5 LED lite that clips on the bill of my hat. Lite, compact, and cheap!

With my ol\' eyes I need as much light as possiable... If I could I\'d use a 2 million candle power spot light I would... :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

I normally use a 150 lumen headlight in the flooded timeber of Arkansas which is pretty thick in spots... But I ran across a 1800 lumen headlight I\'m gonnna try this year... It does put out a lota light but don\'t know how well the batteries will hold up...

At my house there is really no place to check out how well a headlight will light up the night but it appears the 1800 lumen light will do a better job than the 150. :clap: :clap:

Just another step toward total daylight :mrgreen: :mrgreen: which I can see a lot better in...
