Just wondering if anyone has put a heater in a ground blind. I used a Mr. heater this fall with some success on Mule Deer but was wondering if they can smell the spent propane.

I wouldn't do it. Plus typically u won't really need one in archery seasons. I would be concerned about the hiss sounds of the unit running and the smell. Wear some good scent lock layers instead.

Most archery hunts you wont need it but first thing in the morning so with that being said just layer up and then you wont have to worry about the smell or noise from the propane heater.

I hunt a late season Archery hunt in December. It was down to 0 this Dec.  Gets mighty cold sitting for 2-3 hours in a blind.
Thanks

That heater is very quiet once under way and even used in a close tent I have never smelled it.  It doesn't smell like a human.  I would use it when it is real cold.

i have an uncle that uses a propane heater and stove in his blind now he is 80 but he still kills all the time maybe not trophy bucks but puts meat on the table
