how do you guys stay warm. i am using a kodiak canvas tent. last year i used a mr buddy an worked awesome for about 2 hours then would shut off an not start til the next nite. im gonna try leaving a zipper down a little to let more o2 in but im higher than it says it will work so im not holding out much hope.
so, what can i use safely to heat my tent.

those heaters you mentioned wont work at high altitude.
When it get really cold, I use a Mr Heater MH12T in my wall tent - warm and toasty

Wall tents arent that air tight :)
But a small CO detector can calm any worries

thanks. i will get a mr heater. when i left my windows zipped up trying to take my tent down it looked like a parachute for 10 minutes. finally went in an unzipped one to let the air out so i could take it down. kinda worried me about co2.
just think i will hunt better if i can get up to a warm tent instead of trying to make myself get out of a warm sleeping bag to put on cold clothes. i could sleep with my clothes in the bag with me as my ziggy is big enuf to share, lol.

We use sunflower heaters like this one here. The two or three burner options are great as you can choose how warm you really need it. Just hook it up to a five gallon tank and these things will run all night for at least 3-4 days on one tank.

Propane is a pain in the butt, and a depletable source. Wood is EVERYWHERE where we hunt, and free. I use a Four Dog Stove Company Two-Dog Stove to heat my 12x12 wall tent. Works great and is fairly packable. Pricey but comes with a lifetime warranty and works super well!

We also use a wood burning stove, but when we turn in at night, the propane is a nice way to go. Beats getting up every few hours to throw a log on the fire. We have tried the different ways of keeping the stove going overnight, like adding coal, but it just doesn\'t keep it pumping enough to keep our two tents warm. The fact that we have two tents that we set up together could be our problem as well though :)
