Helena-Lewis and Clark NF

I have been scouring Google Earth and onX around the Helena-Lewis and Clark NF as a potential general area to chase elk this year and was wondering if anyone has any experience hunting it. I don't care about specific units, but the NF in general. Does it get as crowded as some of the SW units? Are the numbers reasonable? Just looking for some general first hand information and any tips and pointers for the NF. Thanks folks!

I hunted mcdonald pass area last season and I have to admit we saw a few elk. Once you wade through the hunters who can't call and spend their time road hunting you could find elk. A few grizzly running around but we just kept a close eye out for them.

Thanks for the information. I appreciate the help. Grizzly bears will be a new challenge for me. I am curious how that will go haha.
