Hope everyone had a fun and exciting year. It's only been a few months and I'm already planning for next year. I was shooting the new prime impact. It was a great bow just a little heavy. I'm looking for a new bow this year and need some help. I ended up selling my prime do to some unfortunate financial issues. Got it all worked out now and am ready for a new one. I'm all about elk. I hunt in colorado and New Mexico mainly all spot and stalk. I'm looking for something fast not to heavy and accurate. Your suggestions would be much appreciated. I shoot a 30" draw 70lbs. Any other factors I need to include for you guys to give me an accurate suggestion let me know thanks.

If you liked your Prime than check out the New Prime Alloy.  It is a bit lighter, Great Wall, smooth draw, etc.  I have only shot the one at the shop but plan on ordering one to play around with.
If you are looking for A light bow than go Shoot the Hoyt Carbon Spyder!  By far one of the nicest bows I have ever shot.  It is just Spendy!  If you are willing to buy a used bow than I would highly consider a Carbon Element!  It is the only bow I have that I will NOT sell.  It is lite weight and a solid shooter.
Archery Talk has some great used bows for great Prices.

I would go to your local bow shop and shoot a few to see what you like. I have two sons who love there Mathews. I have one son who shoots Bowtech and myself and my youngest son shoot Hoyts.

I love my MR6 but they don't make that model anymore, but the Chill R is very similar. I haven't beeb to impressed with Mathews (and I'm a Mathews guy) in the last few years. They make a new bow then for the next 2 or 3 years they just make it a little shorter or longer and add an "XS" or "XL" to the name.

I'd look at the new Hoyt's and Elite's.

I just went with Quest drive. Best decision I have ever made. By far the smoothest bow besides maybe Elite. I have shot lots of brands over the years, and now wonder why it took so long for technology to make such a easy forgiving bow.

Check out the Hoyts, the spyder in either carbon or Alum riser are less than 4#.
Hoyts are great shooting bows. the spyder is rated around 330 fps

lots of decisions im getting a new bow this year too im leaning hard towards bowtech i shoot a matthews now and love it but im a vet and bowtech my has a military discount. and they have an excellent customer service plus, there bows shoot like a dream. my second choice is matthews third obsession or elite all are great companies all make great bows but for packing and weight again bowtech very light

Me and my two older boys served. Thats what helped my one son chose a bowtech last year. His last two bows have been Hoyts and he loves his bowtech.

yeah they have a great draw cycle, light, and outstanding customer service. A lot of my friends shoot them and im a fan

Take a look at both Hoyt and Elite.  Phenomenal bows with great customer service. Good luck in your search!
