I was posting on another site about my NM elk hunt that I drew, and Seth (SGH51) referred me to here.

I was on the old Elk Camp forum with quite a few BTO members till it died out. Then I did not know where every one went till Brad told me about another site they were on, then the :banned: thing happened and I moved on to the BTO. :upthumb:
 
I visited Elk Camp a long time ago. I didn\'t post because I knew nothing and was trying to learn. I then found Mr Grins site. I admit I still peak in once in awhile. I moved here after the :banned: ordeal. No place like home. I am here to stay unless I get :banned: :eek:

I think it was ColoradoLew that sent me a email lettin\' me know about this forum... Mighta been cnelk... Can\'t really remember... My memory ain\'t is good as it used to be... ;) ;)
 
I just joined another site that cnelk was on and I liked all the information and experience that he shared about elk hunting. He disappeared one day. So I had to do a little tracking and this is where it lead me. This is a great site and I\'m glad I followed.

Shortly after cnelk\'s lockout on the other site, I sent him an email. He informed me about Dana\'s & his plans for the new forum. Once Brad sent me the email to say it was live, I signed up.

I guess BTO\'s (formerly elkmentors.com) one year anniversary just happened.

Thank you Dana, Brad and others for hacking this together in short order following your outster.

Wow, I can\'t believe it has been a year already. As mtnmutt said, thank you to everyone, especially Dana and Brad for getting the idea rolling and to Swede and JF for joining in and making this site what it is: the best elk hunting forum out there! It won\'t be long until a lot of other folks realize that as well.
 
Brad send me a PM on a fishing forum we are both on. Glad he directed me here, as this is a great group of people and great information!
 
I got up one morning, had some coffee, got my camo gear on and sent out a locate into the computer screen. I heard several bugles but the one I was interested in was way on the other side of Google. I stalked about, climbing up one forum and down another. I crossed several rivers of Bull, forged through the peeing matches, a snuck across a big meadow on nonsense. I found what I was after and crawled to within 40 bytes of this forum. I finally pulled back and released my username and the rest is history. :)
 
Was on another site and several of the regular posters went missing.
Did a little searching are found you guys, I\'m happy to be here.

Ask away, there is a bunch of knowledge here. I\'m sure some of your previous experience will come in handy as well in answering others.
 
I was invited after the break up from another site. I visit many sites to get as much information as possible.
 
\"the great migration\" is a damn funny option. hahahaa..

one day, over some beers,..i\'d love to the the skinny on WTF happened. hahahah..
