How Early?

Ok, how early does everyone start scouting?

A few more months still for me.  Usually around the beginning of May (if the snow has melted in the elevations).

July 4th has always been my target date. I believe the elk will be back in the same general area in mid september as they are in the first part of july. It seems to work for me.

I get out probably mid june and then scout for a couple days and mark areas on the map and gps for a later date.  I try to find a couple good areas early that way if my area im hunting is getting a lot of pressue ill move to my back ups.

first day of bow season,I even take my bow with me  ;D .been hunting my area 33 years already know where their at ,just a matter of which one.

I try year around, but it never seems to be early enough in the year.

I live in an area where the Deer are numerous,so I scout most of the time.
