How Many Arrows???

How many arrows do you carry with you when hunting? My bow came with a six arrow quiver, but I\'m wondering if that is overkill. I try to pack the least amount of gear necessary, but I still think it would be fun to carry one arrow with a field tip for grouse. So if I go to a four arrow quiver, that would be three hunting arrows and one field tip. Is that enough?

I have an 8 arrow quiver. But I only carry 4 broadheads and one blunt.

I carry 4. 3 broad heads and a judo.

6 arrow quiver with 5 broadheads and one small game tip.

Look at some old Fred Bear photos. He carried a lot of arrows!

If I shoot and miss with 3 arrows then I need to walk away from the hunt!
Where I hunt I am still reasonably close to my vehicle, so I will have a few spare arrows in there incase I break one or damage one as I sprint through the mountains. :dance2:

If I was doing a deep in hunt away from spares, then I\'d probably go up to a 4 arrow quiver!

Good info guys. So what\'s the most arrows you have ever needed? Anyone ever shoot through their quiver and still need more?

Only once when I was 15 I shot a nubin buck then his sister come out and I shot every arrow I had left and never touched a hair on her. :lol:

I have never needed more than one arrow elk hunting.
I did have to put two arrows in a buck a couple of years ago because I screwed up my first shot by miss judging the yardage.
