How many different states have you killed game in?

For me it\'s 4.

Maine, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, and New Mexico.

Hmm ... NE, SD, WY, AK, PA, CA ... so, I guess it\'s 6.

States I\'d like to hunt? Well, I\'d like to add MT, ID, OR, and WA to the list. I\'d love to get back to AK. I\'ll hunt CO again, and hopefully bring something home next time, likely in 2017-2019.

For 2015, it\'ll be Nebraska and Wyoming again, though.

Caribou in the Mulchatna herd, back when there was one. It was a drop hunt in August.

It was everything you\'d think Alaska would be.

Sometimes, when people come to Wyoming to hunt, they say it\'s like stepping back in time, and by that they mean like going back 25-50 years.

Hunting Alaska is like going back to the Pleistocene.

Just WTs and turkey in MO and one black bear in Quebec. Called in a few gobblers in Arkansas for a few hunters.

Most all of New England, Calif, and Colorado. 8 in all. Colorado being the most by a huge margin. I was very young when in New England, and hated hunting Calif. I know that, because every year I lived in Calif I drove to Colorado to hunt.

Three for me I think, Colorado, Kansas, and Minnesota. Only thing I have shot outside of Colorado is birds though...

Mn. Wisconsin Missouri Colorado. Hunted Canada for ducks and geese once.

missouri, kansas, nebraska, colorado, arkansas. killed prairie dogs in south dakota and wyoming, and fished ontario

Colorado only................

This is an interesting thread actually.

For instance, I know there are some people that have professed to be very good at elk language, hunting elk, calling elk, but in reality they havent ever left their little county to hunt elsewhere, or even another state.
I dont think they would do very well hunting elk in a different atomosphere, higher altitude, or above timberline meadows.

I am no worldly hunter. I have hunted and taken game in Oregon and Washington. I have hunted both Rosies and Yellowstone elk. In addition I went on a guided caribou hunt in the Northwest Territories. I\'m with you Treble.

I agree 100%. There are some that went out of State and totally failed. Some are going on quality draw hunts and even game farms. That is why it is good to put into context what we read. Also it is well to recognize our own limitations. Some people extrapolate on YouTube video observations, and make grandiose claims based on that.
I know some of you have really learned different States, and have done well. From what I have read, I am convinced different elk in different States and Provinces behave differently. Even researchers have observed this. Certainly the things I have observed has local taint to it. So, as Groucho Marx once said, \"are you going to believe me, or are you going to believe your stupid eyes.\" :D

Does it really matter how you\'ll do in another state as long as you\'re successful where you\'re hunting? It\'s not a contest.

Once I found Colorado I lost all desire to hunt anywhere else.

I don\'t find it a contest. I just think it\'s cool to see where everyone has killed.
I could ask where everyone has hunted, but we would all have giant lists. That\'s why I limited it to kills only.

When I get stationed in Alaska, I will have the same outlook that you have with colorado. :upthumb:

Alaska is really nice. I\'m surprised I didn\'t end up there. I would have been hunting moose and grizz instead of elk.
