How many game bags do you carry?

The title pretty much says it all.

How many are you carrying in the woods? Also, did you pay for the better ones on time, or buy the cheaper ones a few times. (if that makes sense )

i carried 4 of the alaska game bags last year. they worked great for one elk. this year i will be carrying the cheap allen game bags. hopefully will let you know

I usually carry 2. And who ever I hunt with carries 2.
I use Allen game bags and white pillow cases.

Where do you guys get the Allen bags from? And do they come in different sizes like the Alaskans do. The Alaskans cost 12 bucks at Cabela\'s.

3 of us each cary 2. That gets one off the mountain easy. Walmart generally has Allen bags & if you watch after the seasons have ended a lot of times they get marked down considerably. I have some that have been used on multiple animals over several years. My wife raises hell when I ask her to launder them for me but she\'s a keeper . Gotta hang on to that kind.

If you can\'t find Allen game bags, you might try Remington. I think they are both the same and probably made by the same company. Just different packaging.

I carry 4 for elk, but I\'m alone. If I had a partner, we\'d do what Brad says and split them up.

We have used the cheaper Alaskan ones forever...seems like any time we run low, someone in our group loads back up on them. As far as how many I carry, it depends on where I am hunting. If I am near some of the others in my camp and/or not too far in, I will only carry a couple of gallon sized ziplocs for the tenderloins and backstraps. If I am farther in, I will carry two or four of them. That number depends, again, on if I will have someone else hunting near me who can help with carrying a quarter out

I do the same. Except it is 4 pairs of panty hose (made for very large ladies). Weighs next to nothing, and vacuum packs down to the size of an orange.

They work very slick...I\'m planning on doing a video demo this Season when I kill my bull.

I love that idea Jeff! I suppose you could load up on all of the extra snacks for camp at the same time! Large panty hose, 4 packs of beef jerkey, a bag of snack sized snickers bars, some trail mix...no, this stuff isn\'t for me

Yeah...when I buy those big giant panty hose...I get some very sympathetic looks from the cashier. The worst part is, throwing in a box of tampons that I use for firestarter on top of that

LOL!!!!! I can see the cashier now: man, did you see Billy Crystal buying those giant panty hose and tampons? You would think he could afford to send someone to the store for him to buy that stuff! Maybe they are for his mother? :haha:

I like to bone out the meat at the kill. I carry 6 bags to keep it separated better.

That\'s the beauty of the panty hose...I cut off one leg on each pair for loin, rib meat, neck meat, etc.; this gives me a total of 8 bags.
