First off, I want our sponsors to know that I ordered these before I knew of this site and knew about GC hunting calls. So I am sorry!

Anyways, here is my new elk and deer call....

Now I need to learn how to use it :agg:

That\'s a cow call?

Typos and bad grammar sponsored by iPhone!
Yep! It\'s a cow call. A \"mew\" call specifically. It works great and the deer call is unbelievable
I\'ve never heard anything so crisp.

I moved this to the elk hunting forum because I\'m interested in learning more about the elk call. Who makes it?

The company is called VECtor calls.
<!-- m --><a class=\"postlink\" href=\"http://www.vectorcalls.com/\" onclick=\"window.open(this.href);return false;\">http://www.vectorcalls.com/</a><!-- m -->

He is out in Missouri and has been making calls for quite a while now. He is known for his buck calls all throughout Missouri.

Anyways, when I first found out I got drawn for my elk hunt, I messaged him and sure enough he made these too. He put a LOT of effort into making this thing nice and right.

I can make you some videos of it once I have it down. The reason I wanted one custom made is because of everything I read. In higher pressure areas, the elk know the difference between a hoochie mama or any other common primos call. I wanted something different.

I also just love their look... The deer call is unbelievable. It is so crisp and I cannot wait to put either of these to use.

If you want more videos or sound clips, please let me know.

Just remember that I have never heard a true \"mew\" in the woods and I am learning off youtube videos.....

Until I can get out there and listen to their real calls, this is the best I can do. He has made a few other elk calls for people and has reported back great results with them

Please let me know what else I can answer for you

I\'m from Missouri but never heard of them. I mainly follow custom turkey call makers though. Where\'s he located at in MO?

He makes turkey calls as well.

He\'s out in Hamilton, MO.

I meant to ask you about MO hunting earlier, but I forgot, do you know where Unionsville is? It\'s up in Putnam county

I\'d be interested in hearing what the cow call sounds like.

Also, what\'s the price?

I believe I paid $30 for the elk call. Let me get this down a little more and I will gladly make you some sound bites.

I\'ve been with my buddy all day who use the hoochie mama and I like this so much more because I can add variations and my own throaty sounds. Not a standard call that doesn\'t really change.

Putnam County is on the Iowa border (Giant Bucks). Long way from me though I\'m almost on the Arkansas border, thus the name razorback!
