hah.

loaded up my truck. talked to my boss. slow at work, so i want to go pig bowhunting. but damn..it\'s cold. my buddy told me it was 19 degs at the trail head. brrrrrr..

i got my merino and down layers ready to go.. alarm set.. last i checked, i live in California...19deg??!!

i kinda think the hogs might move since the cold snap..none of my buddies even answered my calls to go. i think they are avoiding me.

oh well..HAIL MARY time!!

I rallied. Wore all merino wool. Had a good time solo. Still rather have a friend w me. Found a hog highway. Hopefully I can hide a game cam Friday.

It was. Odd looking for sure. Found some more common ones as well. I cut one opened and tasted it. It was pecan like, but not that tasty. Had a weird astringent quality.

Careful eating them nuts. I believe some acorns are toxic. They contain tanic acid.
