profoundly saddened. my OLD Casio Pathfinder has given it\'s all. the band is breaking. it is holding on by a thread of silicon band. i wont wear it now because if it breaks, i lose it. i called Pathfinder and they say, 4-10 weeks to get them in stock. hahah..that sounds very NOT promising.

i wore it almost everyday since i got it in 2006. that thing went around the world with me. super cool, easy and accurate.

atomic time
solar recharge.

i look at the Suunto and that 12 month battery is not appealing. it looks nice, but are the ##\'s hard to read? the new Proteks..(pathfinders) look very busy and the colors hurt my brain.

smart watch? that Garmin Fenix3 is sick..but daily recharge? ouch!!

i\'m wearing a vintage Omega Seamaster right now and it is jiggly and loud.. animals will hear me..i can hear me!

what watch are you wearing?

This was a gift to myself a few years ago.
I wear it as my daily driver and on most hunting trips.
I didn\'t buy it to sit in a safe haha

nice!

i got a similar watch. a Tudor..but i was on a budget and got the non crystal face..makes for an awful outdoors watch. i wore it all the time and did car work, hunt, fish..took it in for a tuneup and the guy flat out GASPed when he took my watch. haha..put on a new face and tuned it up..now it leads a softer life. i do have a more similar watch as yours..but it\'s all gold. and it looks retarded on me. i should sell it and buy a more burly watch that doesnt scream \"metro\". :D

Thats why I went with the two tone. I look like a fruit loop in all gold

I have never been much of a watch guy, so not a ton of help here. But I will say that for hunting trips, I keep a watch on that is more of a \'sporty\' type. The nice thing about it is it has a back light that I can turn on at night to see what time it is. Very simple and efficient. That watch lives in my pack and I just had to change the battery this year after maybe 10 years of use? The nice thing is that I don\'t have to worry about getting it dirty, bloody, etc.

Not much of a watch guy either. I work industrial maintenance and watches are not safe. They could get caught in something and result in a lost arm or worse. I once struck an arc while welding and got too close to my wrist watch. It left a nice burn ring around my wrist. The arc went in my wrist and came out my palm. My veins turned purple where the current passed through. It ached for a few days.

Hard to beat the Casio for endurance...every one I had was like yours Cliff...the band broke before the watch quit.

I just use the G Shock model...I never take it off, shower with it, use the alarm feature in my tent when elk hunting or travelling.

My GPS handles the other functions I might need.

I\'m not much for bells and whistles. So an old Timex analog works for me. It doesn\'t do anything but tell time and I have used it as a compass in a pinch.

I have a Seiko that has the date and three hands. It is reliable and does everything I want a watch to do.

I have a Fitbit and love the thing. It tracks my mileage, heartrate, cals burned and I can bring up my entire days route on my phone to see my per/mile breakdown and a map of the route covered. I also get texts and phone call alerts on it although that isn\'t of much interest to me. I bought it just to have something that would tell me how fast I\'m running during workouts. Great product. If I had it to do over I think I\'d buy the Garmin

My wife said our youngest daughter is asking for one of these. I had never even heard of them since it is not bowhunting equipment. :) Seriously...I didn\'t know what they were and she said \"you would like one of these.\" I didn\'t even ask what it did but after reading this....she is right. Does it work with android?

Yep, it works with adroid, Mark. It also does a whole lot more than I mentioned. I just listed the things I like best about it.

Will,

Have you ever noted times that you shoot an animal and see how much your heart rate jumps at that time?

How about a watch with an automatic prayer crystal for you guys that want the latest gadget? Press the face slightly and the watch sends out an automated prayer. I can send you one of these specialty watches for just $20 over the regular price of a regular time piece plus S&H. The only instructions are \"do not press the crystal too hard as it will break\". Excessive pressure is not needed to send the prayer.
For just $50 plus S&H, over the price of the regular watch, I can send you one that will make you smarter. Obviously I can\'t explain it all here, but the supplemental information will be included with your shipment.
Or you could just buy a reliable and accurate watch from a reputable jeweler and forget the other.

i dug out an old vintage Omega watch..

kinda loving the old stainless steel..like James Bond!! hahah.. i need to be careful with it..not a lot of them around anymore.

I am just sitting here waiting for someone to order a new Smart Watch.

I still have a dumb phone. I don\'t want my watch to be smarter than me either.

Terry you are obviously too smart already. I don\'t think I will PM you with my special late, late Black Friday offer.
