If you won the Idaho Super hunt what unit would you hunt?  Wanting to DIY.  Thank you.

I'd likely start in 46, 47, 54 for the archery elk hunt....hopefully I wouldn't need a backup plan, but that's where I would go with the tag. Is it you with the tag?

Google search the flood woods. Some of the most remote country with monster bulls. It's north of Orfino and south of st. Maries. Lots of wolves these days though.

Thanks for the information.  It is not my tag.  I am a Marine stationed in 29 Palms California.  I am originally from Lewiston Idaho.  I have a Marine down here on the base that drew the Super tag for elk.  He knows that I am from there and asked me where he should go.  I have recieved some ideas from friends and family but am trying to cover all my bases.  Thank you for all information that you could provide.

I'd say , 40 , 42 , 47 , 31 in that order .

Keep in mind a lot of great elk country has gone up in flames this year. keeping my fingers crossed for my zone.

I would definitely check unit 54.  Also unit 40 always brings in nice bulls and unit 46
