Idaho Unit 39 ( Prairie, ID )

First thing is first, I am new to the elk hunting scene and need as much help as humanly possible. I have chosen unit 39 for my September muzzeloader elk hunt. I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge to pass down to me as my area in 39 will be in the Prairie Idaho area. I've hiked the Smith Creek area a bit, but as far as Elk hunting goes I am new. Where are the major hot spots area this area?


Any help my elk loving friends would be greatly appreciated!

When is your hunt?  39 is the biggest unit we have here in Idaho and the weather will dictate where the elk are
