This guy gives dirt bags a bad name. I hope he is put away for a good long time. He is extreme, but there are plenty of illegals working on public lands. Some guide outfits are hard to crack. I am almost certain there is an illegal outfitter working near where I hunt. The Forest Service and State have been on it for several years, but it is not easy to prove. They get nasty when other hunters move into \"their\" area.

I guess I don\'t understand the whole outfitting deal. If it\'s private by all means, outfit away! Why would they allow outfitting on public lands? Seems like the practice of outfitting is going to create competitiveness between the outfitters and public land hunters. You always hear stories about outfitters bullying people out of their spot. Is there a lot of money in outfitter permits? I would think it would be a drop in the bucket compared to license sales.

Sad story for sure. As to your question ucsdryder, many outfitters utilize private land to access public land that is otherwise difficult to access for the general public. They also outfit in a number of wilderness areas where it is difficult for the general public to hunt, but the outfitter can utilize horses to bring in back country camps. Typically, there aren\'t many outfitters in areas that are easy for the general public to access, simply because why would someone pay an outfitter when they could do it by themselves?

Lucky he didn\'t get 2 center mass. Anyone threatens me with a claw hammer, I\'d at least draw my side arm.

Dirt bag for sure!

Since my retirement from law enforcement I made myself a promise if I ever had to draw my side arm again it was going to fire at least twice... ;) ;)
