Inside 100 Days

Hard to believe, but we are just inside 100 days until the Colorado archery season opens. Most other archery seasons are right around that same time-frame. It will be here soon!!!

Still waiting for the draw results!!!

Back door for elk was open on I believe the 24th last year. I was just checking and I don\'t see anything yet, I was hoping for an early draw.

In the meantime, my list of things to do is getting shorter, the gear list too. It\'s not helping that my son has grown about 4\" since last hunting season and according to the Xrays we had on his shoulder recently he\'s got a LOOOOONG way to grow! I now have to be careful with buying him new hunting clothes and boots since he\'s probably in the middle of a big growth spurt.

I continue to shoot the 9 yards in my basement, and watch videos, and try to plan for B, C, D, etc. if I don\'t draw the tag I\'ve been hoping to draw.

I\'ll be disappointed but at least I know I\'ve got my deer tag this year for the same spot where I shot my only deer a few years ago. That should help get through September and it\'s an OTC elk unit as well so that helps.
