I was lucky enough to get drawn for a Kentucky bull archery tag, and very excited to say the least.  I realize this may be a once in a lifetime opportunity and want to take full advantage of it.  The great thing is I live in the hunting areas, I haven't been assigned my zone yet, but I can be in one of the areas in less than 30 minutes and another in less than an hour.  What should I be doing to now to help harvest a big bull?  Mineral licks and cameras in half a dozen spots?  Glassing now in the evenings?  Corning?  Getting a stand up early, if i choose to use a stand. Physically I am and will be ready, it's just I need some advice how to go about this early on so I can take fulladvantage of this opportunity.  Any advice or tips will be greatly appreciated!

As soon as you know your zone than get to know your zone, look for old scrubs and beding areas, water source, wallows and access points.Do a lot of hiking this year.

Bootlegger, congrats and what a great opportunity. Once you know the zone then start scouting for drainages that are wet and may have wallows. Kentucky as you know has some great bulls. I would be looking for the biggest bull in the zone.
